Sunday is Flaviano Capriotti's 2023 family, and the name is the brief: seating for the day nobody goes anywhere. Compact, upholstered, with backs that wrap around rather than stand up straight.
Compact enveloping seatingHeight of the arm. A low arm makes a chair read as a lounge piece and asks for a footstool; a high arm makes it an upright reading chair. The same collection often offers both, under the same name, and the photographs rarely make the difference obvious.
The shell. Some Poliform chairs are a wooden or metal frame with a cushion dropped into it, others are a single upholstered shell on a small base. The first shows its structure and ages visibly; the second is quieter in a room and harder to reupholster later.
Swivel or fixed. A swivel base turns a chair into a piece you can aim at the television or at the person you are talking to, and in an open plan room that is usually worth more than the extra cost.
One or two. Armchairs are ordered in pairs more often than any other piece here, and pairs are where fabric grade decisions get expensive. We quote one and two so the difference is visible before you decide.
