Duke is a 2024 sideboard collection built on a contradiction: the volumes are solid and imposing, and the curves drawn into them take the weight back out. Leather is among the finishes, which is unusual on a case piece.

Heavy volumes, lightened by a curve
A large sideboard in a room is a block. Duke accepts that and then bends the fronts and the ends, so the eye reads a rounded mass rather than a rectangular one. The piece takes up the same floor and feels smaller, which is the oldest trick in cabinetmaking and still the most effective.
Leather fronts are the detail worth pausing on. On a door that gets opened daily, leather ages the way a bag does, taking marks and darkening at the handle. Some people want exactly that and some want a surface that stays as delivered, in which case lacquer or veneer is the better specification.
The curves are cut, not applied: the radius runs through the panel rather than being added as a moulding. That is where the price sits, and it is visible at the join between a door and the body, which is the place to look when comparing this with a cheaper piece.
In an open plan room Duke works as a divider, because it is finished on more than the front. Tell us if it will be seen from behind and we specify accordingly.
